Piano in English Lessons

Are you looking for a skilled piano teacher in Tokyo who speaks fluent English?

Have you always wanted to learn to play the piano with your children?

Shoko, who has been teaching the piano for over 15 years, is a very experienced music teacher offering piano lessons to all ages and abilities in the Setagaya area and in the Kamakura area. Her method of teaching is unique. As one who learned English in the United States both as a child and later as a graduate student in Boston, she often carries out her lessons in English. She has acquired a deep understanding of both Japanese and American standards and expectations in piano education.

"Teaching is as fulfilling as performing because I love working with young talented kids and using music as a means of allowing them to express themselves and to empower themselves - so it has given me much joy and enrichment. It is my motivation for continuing to teach."
